not much to say apart from its such a brilliant film wiv a fantastic story in a fantastic fil everything is preti much perfect wiv a few little faults. Orlando Blooms acting is nt that great as usual, nd kiera knightly isnt reali a great actor nd she anoys me at times. this film is brilliant it has dark bits, funny bits (sparrow), its adventirous nd a awesome fantasy horror adventure comedy

This film was both exciting and thrilling it kept me hoocked and especialy when orlando bloom came one he is fine, johnny Dep does his best preformance in this film. I would love to watch this again and again.

Johnny, the kids and the pirates have a number-one hit on their hands. They raise the Jolly Roger and made other summer blockbusters walk the plank.

Fantastic tongue in cheek fun from Depp. What a shame the sequals were so long and boring. Unlike most films there is almost too much story in each film and judicial editing would have improved this one and made the 2nd and 3rd better. The funny scenes work the best.

An incresdibly succesful blockbuster for Disney "curse of the Black Pearl" is a tremendously entertaining film for adults and children alike. Pirate films are not made very often and it will be a long time before one will ever come close to suppressing this one. this is a great stand alone film or watched as part of the trio.

For the first one of the collection this film was amazing, from the begging to the end. The adventure was great. Good family film.

This film was made out to be brilliant i dont really see why people like this movie. it is unfunny no matter how many jokes johney dep says the cast are boring they act dead like there under the curse. fight scenes are a total put off. the movie it self is far too long and is mostly stale until you get to the end

This is a defiant must see movie. Gore Verbinski did a great job on this movie!!
Personally i didn't think much of this movie. Good yeah but not great!! pirates 2 & 3 are the best!
Johnny Depp makes the film what it is! and probably has one of the best performances in hollywood history in this movie. Keira Knightly, Orlando Bloom and Geoffrey Rush also all perform great in the movie.
The movie sets up the pirates world brilliantly and is a great edition to and DVD collection.

This has to be the best Pirate movie ever, but thats not saying much when you compare it Polanski's Pirates or Cut throught Island ! The tone of the movie is set just perfect, and Depp is a revalation as the now iconic Jack Sparrow. The rest of the cast are very good as well. The Jokes are very funny. and the action is brilliant. but where this film excells is the sheer imagination. The cursed crew of the Black pearl are so brilliantly brought to life. and the scene where the skeleton crew walk across the sea bed is amazing. Also the music score is outstanding, It's pumps up the action scene and makes the chilling moments even more so. This is one of the all time great family movies and will be loved for years to come.
