FROM HELL, referring to the return address on a letter penned by the Ripper, is about people who are in hell, trying to survive the grimmest circumstances. At the core are five impoverished prostitutes who share a desperate friendship, drawn tighter as their ranks are terrorized by a gruesome murderer. Mary Kelly, Kate Eddowes, Liz Stride, Dark Annie Chapman and Polly exist on the brink, earning a meagre living with their bodies in a society that concurrently dishonours and feeds upon them. Owning virtually nothing of value, they are threatened by a monster that would steal from them their only possession: existence.

I really enjoyed From Hell.
An interesting theory on the Jack the Ripper case.
Quite bloody in places!
This film looks really good, and the sets look really realistic.
The cast are brilliant, although I have to say that Heather Graeme's Irish Accent isn't one of the best i've heard!
Lot's of English cast. Ian Holm, Robbie Coltrane, Jason Flemyng. Joanna Page (Gavin & Stacey) delivers a fantastic performance!
I've watched this film over 10 times and still I never get bored.

from studying jack the ripper in great detail i was slightly sceptical when i saw that this film had been created. however, the attention to the facts of the crime plus the exciting twists and ideas added by the director make this milm a must see for any film lover.
Depps interpretation of the character is simply outstanding along with his other members of cast, the brilliant set and storyline left me absolutely astonished when the 2 hours were over.
Brilliant film. a must see
