4.5 Their finest hour gambler | 20/10/2010 | See all gambler's reviews (2) This documentary offers an insightful and interesting look into the making of one of the greatest rock and roll albums of all time. You really get a feel for the period and the mood of the band at the time with plenty of quality archive footage and in-depth interviews with the band and those that were close to them at the time. If youre looking for live concert footage then youre going to be disappointed. This is a film documenting the making of the album - not a concert film. If you want a concert film I highly recommend you purchase Ladies and Gentlemen The Rolling Stones. But if you want to know just why this album is so revered then look no further - it could possibly be the best five pound you spend this year.
