Tron Legacy

Revisiting a world nearly 30 years after the original film was a bit of a gamble but on the whole it seems to have generally paid off in the case of Tron Legacy.

Visually the film is absolutely up to par and looks crisp and clean even on DVD (though it obviously excels on Blu-ray) but the story itself is a little on the thin side and probably the film itself does rely too much on it's visuals to get it through. It's nice though to see the return of original Tron stars Bruce Boxleitner and of course, Jeff Bridges in their roles. The newer cast members are a little more wooden (especially Garret Hedlund) in comparison though.

A decent enough effects bonanza.

THIS FILM IS AMAZING- the effects, the sound track and the story line in this film are fantastic. Probably the best special effects I have ever seen in a film. The story line is fast moving and keeps you entertained, the characters are believable and deep (and sexy), the action is constant and did I mention the special effects. I cant comment on a comparrison to the original and maybe thats why I love this film so much. But ignore all negative comments this film rocked for me on many levels!

This really is a spectacular film. The visuals are truly amazing. Not quite as raw as the original Tron but this has been made 20 years later. A great film to test out your new Blu-Ray player with. Daft Punk also play themselves!! A great film to lose yourself in. Stunning.

As the title suggests I was happy viewing this film, the acting isnt great and story is a little more special effects driven rather than anything else.

Enjoyable but dont expect too much.

was alot different than expected,although i think Jeff Bridges suits sci-fi films this was so badly acted more like a stage play with a computer graphics make over it just seemed like it was trying so hard to be 1980's and fact disney got involved meant the action was really dimmed down.

I just loved this film, everything about it is stunning. All the visual effects are incredible! The acting was pretty good, and the storyline was great! The characters were great, especially *spoiler alert* --)Rinzler/Tron. Also I loved the music done by Daft Punk. All round a great film for any age group and a good family film.

I never saw the original tron movie as i was born in the late 80's ! so i thought i give tron legacy ago, may i just say wow the effects are awsome and another fantastic movie from Disney .I rented this movie yesterday watched it last night brought it today, the only problem i found with the movie is that the acting was sort of average which doesn't really matter as the special effects makes up for it

great visuals, a real wow factor . also loved the score. was really into it until about half way, there just wasnt enough of a story, the characters are so so, it was difficult to care too much about them. just not as good as i had hoped.

I saw this in 3D at the cinema and I was blown away by the effects. Although, the visuals wont be as mind blowing on DVD, the film itself was still amazing. The storyline takes a similar route to the original and with todays technology the tron games look fantastic. The soundtrack by Daft Punk is brilliant and will sound immense with surround sound. Look out for a very funny cameo from the robotic duo and also a brief cameo from Michael Sheen in a very David Bowiesque role! If you love special effects, action, daft punk or soundtracks, buy this!

sorry to say after watching the new tron film thinking that it would be better i was let down 20 years after the first tron film and disney could not do it as for the action very little after playing the game and watching the film very let down
