Meet Jules Cobb. She's a successful 40-year-old real-estate agent with a nice house, good friends and a relatively well-adjusted teenage son.

While most women in their twenties go through life experiencing the challenges and often humorous pitfalls of meeting men, Jules took on the responsibilities of marriage and raising a son.

She's recently divorced and realizes her love life needs some work but when it comes to re-entering the dating pool she struggles to swim. Keep in mind that she's up against every over tanned and underdressed divorcee prowling her Florida town - a town where women (and men) embrace cougar-dom - and Jules doesn't want any part in that. She's going to do everything she can to prove that, even at 40, women can have it all!

Laugh out loud funny! And it so fits that it was written by the guy who wrote scrubs - same random but clever humour. Winner!
Jealous much?

Don't let the name put you off!

I was a bit apprehensive about the show when I read the name; I didn't know exactly what to expect! But I am glad I gave it a chance.

Cougar Town is my favourite comedy show since Friends - laugh out loud funny episodes - every episode!
Courtney Cox brings a slight bit of Monica with her to Cougar Town but this time she has a whole new bunch of funny friends to introduce us to with more adult-based issues.
Newly divorced and learning to be on her own, with a whole lot of fun.
The storylines are good, and the humour is great. Give it a try! I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

A series not to be missed, best laugh ever

I'd never considered watching this and randomly stubled upon it but honestly, i'm hooked!!!

Courtney Cox has been very clever with what she wanted to achieve from this show and has stuck to a recipe she knows will work...... a group of friends and their ups and downs.

It is easy to think "oh, another attempt at a Friends type show" but it really does work! The characters have been brilliantly cast and matched with the actors. Busy Phillips is especially fab!

It's escapism at it's best..... makes you want to be part of their gang!

Can't wait for Season Two! x

 Brilliant, fresh and damn funny

Cougar Town Season 1 is a brilliant new comedy that throws you straight into the fun with memorable, quotable characters and an already fast paced storyline. The story is fresh and relevant to its time, with Courtney Cox nailing her role playing a newly divorced 40 year old - trying to relive her 20's. Cougar Town is definitely a show you can watch again and pick up on new jokes and hidden comedic factors. If you are a big fan of Bill Lawrence's work then you will probably recognise reoccurring cast from Scrubs here and there, Courtney herself starring in the first 3 episodes of Scrubs season 8. Lawrence continues his passion for Tom Petty music, every episode of Cougar Town his named after one of his songs. With the success of such other US comedy in the UK, Cougar Town is a definite hit - roll on season 2!
