I really enjoyed these films but my older brothers didnt as much as they grew up with the games and were really into it, i on the other hand neva really played the games much and therfore didnt compare it to the games.
All ill say is dont think of it or compare it to the video game, just enjoy it 4 what it is and enjoy watching angelina jolie strut her stuff as a foxy tomb raider ;)

Bought them dvd's only since im a collector....and i just couldn't pass up this deal....
the movies although not the best...kept me entertained for a while...

Seen both films and I have to say I perfer Tomb Raider 1 more. Even though I have both films on DVD I still watch the re-runs that come on TV. An idication of how much I enjoy watching the film I guess ??? Lol.

Mediocre films for mediocre games. They should have been great, what with the cast budget etc. Unfortunately what we have here is a very average set that just don't have that "wow" factor. Storylines are pretty samey and will not make you want to watch the film until the end. The amount of times I looked at how long was left was ridiculous. It was all the strength I could muster not to turn it off but I managed to watch them through to the end. Saved only by the guns and fights. Shame Really.

Lets get the good news over first. Angelina Jolie is perfectly cast as Lara Croft, I can't think of anybody who could play the part better, with a perfect English accent.
But it's the film's that let what coud have been a good contender for the next Indiana Jones down.
Whilst both films are entertaining enough, with some very good action sequences.They don't manage to grab the imagination as they should. Both films in my opinion are as good as each other, they are well directed and rattle along at great speed, and that's where the problems are. The films move at such a great pace that none of the characters engage, Even the Tomb Raider games have better written characters than the ones in the movies.So your left not giving a damn about them. If the film's intension was to capture the feel of the games, well they have suceeded. As the action seems to be like playing a game, and going to the next level with every action sequence,every time with bigger and harder obsticals to overcome.
An entertaining box-set, but misses the special spark to make the movies excellent, as they should have been.
Pretty good family escapism!

great family entertainment but also good for thoughs lads nights in- a rare mixture!! on par with the indiana movies but more modern, future classics with more to come i hope! all this combined with a superb price and service from play- come on guys what you waiting for

I've been a fan of the Tomb raider games ever since they were released and i'm glad to say that Angelina Jolie portrays an excellent Lara Croft.

The film is action packed but keeps to a brilliant storyline in both movies. A must buy for anyone into the games or a fan of Angelina jolie.
