Over ten years has past on elm street since Freddy last was on his killing spree, he is a faded memory. He needs the fear of the people to bring him out of his eternal slumber in hell. So Freddy raises Jason from the grave to do the killing for him. This will make the residants of elm street think Freddy is back and will restore the fear, and will resurrect Freddy. but as the bodies pile up,Freddy discovers Jason is not willing to cease his murderous ways and stepaside so easily. Now , with a terrified town in the middle, the two icons of horror enter into a epic horrifing showdown.
As you can tell the plot is very silly, but the director knows this, and plays on the sillyness of it all. What we get is a very entertaining bloodbath. The film is a hell of alot of fun, with it's self mocking. Freddy never comes close to being as scary as in the original elm street movie, although Jason is the same, and you end up rooting for Jason in the end as he is just a brain dead underdog. The film rattles along at a great pace with some pretty over the top death sequences. This film will never win any oscars, but for a good night of blood and guts, you could do alot worse. This is the best film Jason has been in, but nowhere near as good as Freddy in the original elm street. A Very silly, very bloody and very entertaing bit of slash and dice !

This is the ultimate horror heavyweight face off ever!! Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees are probably the most popular movie maniacs ever and the two most successful from the 80s, its great to see them finally go head to head in an all out gory slugfest with some teen chopping fodder caught in the middle!! Great fun cheesy horror a must have if your a big fan!!

 What a film!

I'm sure many horror fans like myself were sceptical about the combining of two great horror legends into one movie. Everyone has their favourite horror anti-heroes, and pitting them against each other reminds me of the whole 'my dad is stronger than your dad' argument from childhood days. Alien vs Predator tried it and unfortunately failed; they were from two complete different generations which was always going to be a problem. Freddy and Jason however, were both set in the present and thus making it a lot easier to work with.

This movie originally sparked outrage from horror fans at Ronny Yu's decision to give the part of Jason to somebody other than Kane Hodder. His reasoning behind it was apparently that he wanted jason to 'tower over Freddy' and in Hodder's case he was just less than a foot taller than the 5' 10 Robert Englund. He also wanted Jason to be slower unlike Hodder's acting style which saw Jason as an agile killing machine.

The overall turnout of the movie was great in my opinion. They kept Freddy's trademark humour and Jason's silent, eerie presence. The acting wasn't that bad, although at times it was pretty lame. But hey, on the plus side, the awful Kelly Rowland is in this movie and she couldn't possibly last long in a horror flick, right? 5 Stars for a great idea and execution of that idea to perfection. Now lets just see if Freddy vs Jason vs Michael (Myers, Halloween) is anything like its predecessor

If you like Jason and Freddy, this is a must see.

I was hoping that this film woud live up to my expectations and it did by miles. This is probably the best vs movie in ages. This film adds classic Voorhees and Krueger horror, plus it hsa some comic moments in it. There are also some pretty invenive death in the film. If you are a fan o this kind of movie, then definitely buy it.
