Review

Devised by Sosai Masutatsu Oyama in 1955, Kyokushin-kai karate is the utilisation of circular movement in the execution of techniques that distinguishes Kyokushin Karate from the traditional styles of Karate that rely on simple linear motion.

Kyokushin karate is characterised by students dedication to strenous training, conditioning and realistic contact while sparring as the principals are that this is necessary in order to fully appreciate the resiliency of the human body and spirit and to prepare for any serious confrontation.

Features: Warm-up and stretching routines / Kicks, punches, blocking and equipment training / Individual drills for speed, stamina and power / Foot sweeps / Low & high kicks / Takedowns / Combat & competition tactics
