Being a huge Tim Burton fan myself, I was highly excited to see this. I saw it in the cinemas when it was first released, and it's not spectacular but it's still very decent. It's very Nighmare Before Christmas, and dark, and many people didn't like the lead girl, but I thought she was fine. The two twins played by Matt Lucas, were a bit annoying, but it's still a great movie.

  Amazing!! But is it 3D??

I have watched this film in cinema and it is amazing. It is well worth the buy of the DVD and it is at an amazing price.
I was just wondering if this was 3D or not??? If anyone who has bought it can let me know it would be a big help.
Thanks!!

I am a Tim Burton fan too and as other reviews say I had high expectations from this film, but for me it didn't disappoint. I loved it, a must see for any fan of Tim Burton wierdness.

Being a huge fan of Tim Burton I class this as a must see movie, I had a lot of expectations and could almost imagine some of the treats that were in store.
The film started off brilliantly, the scenes had humour and that general weirdness which only Burton brings to the table. The story was building nicely and becoming very interesting, I was getting sucked in. But in the later stages of the movie it loses the way, it stops being as interesting and becomes a little stale.
Visually the movie is stunning, exactly what you'd expect from Burton and then some. It's a true feast for the eyes.

Overall: Perhaps I expected too much from Burton, but for me this just wasn't his best. It started off great, I was really into the story and enjoying everything I was seeing but it peaked and never went anywhere else. I started to lose interest in it and thats why it only gets 3/5.

After reading some reviews, we weren't sure what to expect. However, we found it really entertaining and thoroughly enjoyed the film and soundtrack

When watching the film, I was disappointed by the story line, until I realised it was the second book at not the first. Upon watching it a second time, I enjoyed it throughly. You could tell it was Tim Burtons film and the way it was put together and the effects were pretty good. Well worth a watch

Not really my cup of tea!

Breathtaking CGI, great voices from a wonderful selection of both British and American actors. However, a worthy tribute to Lewis Carroll's work, it is not. I love Burton's films, no doubt about it, and as long as you try and separate the fact that it is not an accurate representation of the original story, and accept it for what it is, then it's all good. I thought there was something missing, but it's still very pleasing to the eye and a satisfying escape into Burton's world, but not Carroll's. Overall, a beautiful film with much to offer, but not in terms of accuracy.

  Phenomenal!

This puts an excellent twist on the already amazing movie, showing Alice's return to Wonderland.
This film was highly anticipated by me and my family and has hit all of my expectations!!!
It is a highly respected film in my mind and has not only shown the magic that can be in a film, but shown what a WONDERFUL director Tim Burton actually is!
