WOW! What a film. I had never heard of Ned Kelly before seeing this, and have never really looked into his history, but this movie (I think!) portrays Ned as the good guy, and I really felt sorry for him in this movie. Heath portrays Ned fantastically and it is definitely one of my favourite characters of his, and a favourite film of mine in general!
Totally worth buying. I loved it.

Although it is awesome, you can't really pay attention all the way through, as you seem to drift off a little bit in one particular place but other wise very good.
It's not my favourite but still very good.
A really great bio of a true australian hero

Knochout performances from Ledger and Rush- those close to Heath can be sure that he left a great legacy through epics like this!
Loved it

I had heard of Ned Kelly, and knew he was an Australian outlaw, but didn't know really any more than this about his story until watching this film. He was Irish Australian, with an Irish immigrant father; so the film for me was a bit like a cross between a rural Gangs of New York and a western, set in nineteenth century Australia. Kelly is also an outlaw in the Robin Hood sense, and a good man, not a criminal for the sake of it. He is initially wrongly accused.
I thought this film was beautifully acted and directed, with Heath Ledger effortlessly stealing each scene as the charming and charismatic leader Kelly. There are many touching, and also funny moments in this film, as well as tension and drama. Orlando Bloom is excellent as Joe, the one of the group that can read and write (and speak Chinese!). He is also quite a ladies man which adds some lighter moments. Accents are all spot on, and this is one of my favourite, and i feel underrated, performances from Bloom.
Brilliant!

I bought this on the off chance i might like it, as i usually like films on true charecters, and it was brilliant, its not the film you'd expect you want to watch over and over, but its brilliant, reminds me of "cold mountain" but heaps better!
