A Touch of Frost is a truly excellent series. Frost is exactly how you'd imagine a real life Detective Inspector to be...pressured, grumpy, scruffy.

The stories are set around the fictitious town of Denton in which seems to be full of unpleasant people, very much like Midsomer.

For anybody who delights in engrossing stories and exquisite human characterisation rather than standard police show clichés, Touch of Frost is exceptional. I can't recommend it highly enough.

 An excellent serial*****!!!!!

Frost for the first 5 seasons, was most excellent viewing, with 1st rate acting along with the high standards of Morse & even Prime Suspect, the storylines & plots made for essential viewing, once more with Frost being an insubordinate detective going against some of the wishes of Mullet. So here we have 20 90 minute episodes, which do make round about the ideal time length for your attention but as it goes on Seasons 6-9 kept mainly to the high standard, but I feel from Seasons 10-15, it suffered with David Jason going into Del Boy mode, so enjoy these early Frosts, at your lesiure with the 5***** star rating it deserves.

 David Jason is a genius

A Touch of Frost is the best mystery drama on the box. David Jason plays Frost absolutely brilliantly, it wouldn't be worthy without him. A great mix of thilling, gripping, hilarious and spooky drama sees the grouchy but lovable copper in his many cases of crimebusting. I could happily watch Frost many a time and never get bored. It will be a sad day when Frost eventually hangs up his hat!

DAVID JASON REALLY SHINES AS D.I FROST IN THIS GREAT SERIES

David Jason stars as detective inspector Frost,an ageing Poilce inspector who has a firm but fair approach to his police work who often plays by his own rules to get to the bottom of his cases.
With other actors giving great performances, and great storlines, each episode is very enjoyable.
Highly recommended 5/5.
