Against the dreary backdrop of Southeast London's concrete housing estates, the lives of three underclass Brits come crashing down. Gary Oldman's conversational, improvisatory script follows his characters wretched lives in crowded council flats, tawdry Piccadilly strip joints, with truly outstanding acting and honesty.

i have seen this film many times and i fill it is one of the most real life films i have seen . i takels real life issues what so many of us turn a blind eye to . set on a large council estate in south london it show the life of drugs and what you would do to get a fix , it also show 's the more upsetting side men hitting there partners.
this film is a strong film to watch but and the end of the day it is showing the real world in full.
Not good at all, just full of unnessary swearing

I bought this film mistaking it for something else. It is just full of constant swearing, the plot is relatively good, and the film could be enjoyable if the language was toned down
Unbelievably Real

Superb film, it is incredible how the producers and actors have managed to encapsulate something so painfully true-to-life on screen. The acting is out of this world - Ray Winstone will scare you near to death because you know he has a real life counterpart living on every street. It might be difficult to watch at times but it is important you do so - if only to hate the man!
