I've been a fan of ELO since the 70's and love the ealier albums in all their orchestral glory. If you like the 'Face the Music', 'On the Third Day' and 'Eldorado' albums you'll love this DVD.
I got an early copy today from a friend who works at the distributor (he knows I am a fan). The sound on it is just excellent with all the instruments, vocals and strings clear. The concerts are smaller venues and the Rockpalast section is a TV studio session.
Check out Mik Kaminski's violin solos - pure magic. And great to hear Kelly (RIP) Groucutt's great vocal harmonies with Jeff on the Fusion 1976 section. The cover of the Beatle's 'Daytripper' is great too.
Other live videos I've seen aren't as good as this. Such as Live at Wembley which had woolly picture and sound and had a lot of playing over backing tracks. Or Zoom where it was great to hear Jeff singing the songs again but was a bit too modern/recent to catch the ELO magic if you know what I mean.
This DVD is recommended. Anyway, I'm off to get the albums out again...
