In Men in Black 3, Agents J [Will Smith] and K [Tommy Lee Jones] are back... in time. J has seen some inexplicable things in his 15 years with the Men in Black, but nothing, not even aliens, perplexes him as much as his wry, reticent partner. But when K's life and the fate of the planet are put at stake, Agent J will have to travel back in time to put things right. J discovers that there are secrets to the universe that K never told him - secrets that will reveal themselves as he teams up with the young Agent K [Josh Brolin] to save his partner, the agency and the future of humankind.

Back in 1997 the first Men In Black came like a breath of fresh air, it was funny, smart, short and Smith and Jones were a brilliant combination. Five years later we were given Men In Black 2, that although had it's moments could not match the first. We have now waited ten years for the third and hopefully final film. This was a big summer tentpole movie for Sony and to be honest I expected more. The first thirty minutes you feel like it's just a re-hash Jones looks bored, Smith is as enthusiastic as ever and laughs to happen with his sarcastic excuses to the public for the aliens among us. But when Smith leaps back in time the movie does get better with Josh Brolin's bang on impression of Tommy Lee Jones it's just uncanny. It's the usual time paradox plot, but the inclusion of pop culture and icon's of the late 60's is very good and the film does entertain........ mostly.
For a second sequel set ten years apart from the last film you do expect allot more, it's just seems five years too late and what was cool in 1997 and 2002 just does not have the same impact to todays viewer.
I really do hope this is the final film as any more like this would tarnish the good name of the original. It's not bad, just unremarkable and no doubt if you loved parts one and two you'll definatly buy this. But for the casual viewer you'll wonder just what the fuss was all about.

The MIB go Back To The future in the third film! This wasnt as good as the 1st movie but was a lot better than the 2nd. The story was quite clever, although a bit thin at times but it had a good pace, was entertaining, had some funny moments and some good effects. By no means a classic but well worth a watch. Josh Brolin also puts in a great performance as a young agent K. Had me fooled!!
