It's what every "Sgt. Bilko" fan has been waiting for! The Phil Silvers Show arrives on DVD with all 34 episodes from the classic first season, digitally remastered on 5 discs.

This Emmy-winning sitcom was one of early television's first mega-hits, with snappy dialogue and brilliant visual gags performed by comic genius Phil Silvers (It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World ), starring as Master Sergeant Ernest G. Bilko.

As head of the motor pool at Fort Baxter in Roseville, Kansas, the fast-talking Bilko is a regular at every poker game in town. His other platoon members are a motley group of lovable goons who would follow their beloved leader anywhere, knowing deep down that Bilko's really a softy with a heart of gold. Co-starring Harvey Lembeck, Allan Melvin, and Paul Ford as Colonel Hall, The Phil Silvers Show is one of TV's true comedy masterpieces, and the entire first season is now available on DVD!

Sgt Bilko/Phil Slivers Show is right up there at the absolute top of all comedies. has never been bettered and only just about equalled (I refer to the one and only Fawlty Towers!) However, unlike FT there are far more than 12 episodes so there is slightly less liklihood of wearing out your DVD! It is absolutely and undoubtedly the best thing you can ever watch if you want to laugh, be uplifted and entertained and the only crime still being committed is that we NEED to see all the other episodes and series released ASAP as I don't want to kick the bucket before seeing them all!!! Oh, and if you think it is only "oldies" that take pleasure from "oldie" B&W type programmes then just seeing my kids belly laugh until they ache!

 An all time classic!

I remember watching this late a night in the early 80's.
This is so funny, i can't believe season one has only recently been
released. I can't wait for the later series to be available.
A first rate comedy, worth every penny!!!!
