Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band's London Calling: Live In Hyde Park concert film is a two DVD set of the Boss and his band's performance at London's Hard Rock Calling Festival on June 28, 2009 in HD. The 172-minute film documents 27 tracks of live Springsteen that begin in daylight and progress through a gorgeous sunset into night. The set list spans from the Born To Run era to Working On a Dream and includes rare covers such as The Clash's "London Calling", Jimmy Cliff's "Trapped", The Young Rascals' "Good Lovin'", and Eddie Floyd's "Raise Your Hand". Springsteen also performs fan favorite "Hard Times (Come Again No More)", written by Stephen Foster in 1854. Brian Fallon from The Gaslight Anthem joins the band as a guest vocalist on Springsteen's own "No Surrender". Bonus material includes footage of "The River" from Glastonbury, June 27; and the full music video for "Wrecking Ball", filmed at New Jersey's Giants Stadium.

Was at the gig. Amazing. Bruce was on top form, Nils was brilliant, Clarence despite having problems was fantastic, I could go on.
From then opening bars of London Calling the show rocked.
To hear thousands of people shout 'I live by the river' during the opening number made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.
My advice would be...Get it.

I was at this concert and it was a great show. I hope I got captured on film. Bruce is very energentic despite having just finished headlining Glastonbury in the early hours of the same morning (1:30am). The crowd is huge and the sun is shining and The E Street Band deliver a rocking concert and I've been to enough to know.

What a great showman, Bruce and his E streeters have a great time on stage and to see the emotion in Brian Faddons (Gas Light Anthem) face when he joins The Boss in No surrender was quite moving . But why does my wife tell me to turn the volume down whilst i am watching this dvd, i don't remember her jumping on stage at one of his concerts complaining to Bruce about the noise . This is one of his finest performances.....long live Bruce and the E street band .........

The best concert DVD ever made

OK it helps if you are a Springsteen fan. This DVD reminded me why I am one of them. 25 years after he came to our country with his Born In The USA tour, winning hearts and minds, he returns with this excellent concert film. Beautifully filmed and recorded it makes you laugh, sing and in my case sob a little because I wasn't there that day. It's his best DVD so far, capturing the fun he brings to a show.
If you are a rock fan you NEED this DVD.
