This is a brilliant screenplay that has been made into an equally brilliant film. Highly recommended.

This movie is one of my favorites of all time bu I don't want to create any spoilers so, unfortunately, I cannot talk about the plot, which is the movie's strongest point. What I can say is that this film elegantly illustrates how the worst possible things can happen from trying to do good, how inherent evil is to the human condition and how impossible it is to live a harmonious and peaceful life. Sorry for sounding so artsy but this movie really does tackle universal themes very strongly and, as said, I do not want to talk directly about the story. What I can add is that the acting is absolutely top notch, the setting is very original and the cinematography is beautiful. This movie gripped me from start to finish and the end is one of the most memorable I have seen. Please, please, please buy this movie so hollywood can take note of what a good script and good acting can achieve without budgets of hundreds of millions; you will not see a film like it.
