I started watching Misfits just channel surfing, this was when Series 2 was on air and from just a few seconds, it kept me glued to the screen and very interested, so I had no choice but to go and buy the series 1 and 2 boxset.
Season 1, the first episode was a kind of introduction to the show, which gave us abit of background on these young offenders, it also gave us the sense of mystery when the group are hit by the storm and Nathan doesn't know what his power is. The show is also quite disturbed as the guys kill their first probation worker, and Simon kills the second after her finding out the young offenders murdered her fiancee, the first probation worker. The actors also vary very much, we have
Nathan - sarcastic, big-headed, funny, bully? (towards Simon)
Kelly - violent, defensive
Alisha - likes attention from the men?
Curtis - athletic
Simon - quiet, keeps to himself.
So the characters are all very varied, but they look very well together, and this fits the show together.
Series 2: Another mystery when a figure keeps on coming to the rescue of Alisha, no way would I have ever realised this was Simon, this forms a relationship between Alisha and Simon, also very unexpected, at the end of Series 2, I was quite happy, but also quite sad to see the back of Nathan as I thought sometimes he could grate on me, but he was an entertaining character in the show, and the funniest.
Overall, great show, for teens and adults.
