  A charming funny film

I wasn't sure whether I would like this, as I haven't watched any Curb Your Enthusiasm however I was pleasantly surprised. The film is quite charming and very funny in places.

  Allen and David

Curb Your Enthusiasm with a little bit extra cynicism and sarcasm as only Woody Allen could do.
It's really what you'd expect from these two, the Jewish style of humour is dry, witty and at times quite insulting. The main character gives you his thoughts on life, and literally on anything he can. He has his own views and opinions on everything, some might seem rational, some might seem ridiculas but either way they'll make you laugh.
The problem with the movie is perhaps just the reason its good, it's too much of the same. It's exactly what you'd expect from Larry David and Woody Allen, it's nothing really new. At times it feels like an extra long episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm without the quirky music to remind you its just entertainment. And at times it can become a little annoying, constantly listening to the same character rant and moan for 90 minutes can get a little tiresome.
But having said that...
It's still a funny movie, there's a lot of great lines that'll make you laugh and its an interesting idea about people coming together.

i went to see whatever works at the cinema back in july and i can tell you its incredible in every way possible. larry david is a very good actor and makes this film very enjoyable to watch and keeps you glued to your seats - although id say this film is aimed at more of the older generation dont be put off by that (im in my 20's and it never put me off it one bit)

Larry plays as a guy called boris, who is a somewhat grumpy individual who can never agree with other peoples opinions but has a soft heart for a girl he meets later on played by evan rachel wood. The story might seem slow at first to pick up on but it starts off funny and some of the things boris says will definately keep a smile on your face guaranteed.

i honestly reccomend whatever works to anyone who wants to have a laugh and be entertainted, the film also makes you think about life a little more, about ways and what could happen ( i wont say anymore!) but please buy or at least rent it, you wont be dissapointed.
