From the original TV series comes the classic feature length adventure!

There's a new arrival in the Magic Garden in the form of a blue cat called Buxton, which spells trouble for the gang. Dougal suspects things are afoot when he notices Buxton talking to a mysterious 'Blue Voice' (memorably voiced by Fenella Fielding). Some very strange things begin to happen and it's up to Dougal to save the day.

Created in France by Serge Danot, The Magic Roundabout was adapted and narrated in English by Eric Thompson who gave each character a charm that was adored by millions, making it one of the most cherished British television institutions.

Lovingly restored, Dougal and the Blue Cat is finally released on DVD for the first time in this wonderful special edition.

I bought this on Video from HMV back in the early 90's but so pleased its now on DVD.
I saw it with my cousin when i was little and its stayed with me all these years..
Buxton the Blue cat is great and always reminded me of Malcolm McDowell in Clockwork Orange - a twisted individual but... oh i'd best not say.....
Its a great film and much better than the re read Nigel planer and that awful CGI film from a few years back...
You get to meet a lot of the Magic round a bout characters that were only glimpsed in the TV shorts before the News

Anyway... Boing,time for Bed.
I hope it comes out on BlueRay if it hasn't already

Worth waiting all these years to see again

This instantly transported me back to my childhood. I only got the chance to see it once (all those years ago). I didn't know if this would now appeal to someone of my age. But I was NOT disappointed in the slightest. The blue voice still sends shivers up my spine. Buy this and then claim it's for the kids
