Fired from his band, rock guitarist and vocalist Dewey Finn takes a job as a 4th grade substitute teacher at an uptight private school where his free livin' lifestyle, attitude, music and antics soon influences the students to explore other sides of themselves the school doesn't encourage. Finn's real goal in taking the job is to recruit a 9-year-old guitar prodigy, Zack, to become the lead guitarist in a band that would be able to win a "battle of bands", solving Finn's money problems and re-establishing him as a respected rocker...

I've watched this movie more times than I can remember cos I never tire of it :)
It's so much fun, very feel-good and you cheer them all on right to the end when they perform their fab ending song at the Battle Of The Bands show :)
Jack Black is the perfect combo of funny and cool in this fantastic movie :)

Jack Black is once again fantastic and lives up to his good reputation in this film it is very well written and produced and has other good actors in it besides Jack Black who really steals the show in this film the other main actors who play a really good role are Joey Gay dos Jr who plays Zack Miranda Cosgrave who plays Summer and the blonde haired kid who plays the drummer Freddy Jones once again another classic from Jack Black that the whole family can enjoy time and time again.
