Mystic River

I read the review for this film online and thought it sounded really good and after watching it i think my opinion was pretty much spot on.
The acting from Bacon, Penn and Robbins is what really makes this film stand out for me the story is quite good i dont want to spoil it for anyone so im not going to say too much about it but the acting performances are what make the film work so well.
Clint Eastwood seems to have a knack of getting the best out of actors and picking the right scripts and this excellent thriller is no different than anything else he has done.
Well worth buying at the bargain price it sells for on here.

Sean penn, kevin bacon, laura linney and tim robbins all give really good performances in this clint eastwood film. They are all really into their characters especially penn who is really good as a man whose daughter is killed and he seeks revenge on her murderer. Eastwood is one of the greatest directors ever

Eastoood's best work! A very dark and disturbing film, but yet its outstanding. Not for the faint hearted though. Tim Robbins and Penn put on masterclasses.
Definitely a must have for any dvd collection...

This is a truly emotionally haunting, complex and disturbing film that seems to want to remind us that violence begets never-ending violence. The happenings seem to conjure up the concept of karma as I follow the lives of the characters, especially as in the case of Sean Penn's Jimmy. Excellent performances from Sean Penn, Tim Robbins and Kevin Bacon! Their characters - three friends - draw me deep into the analytical observation of their traits, behavior and circumstances. Quite easily in my top five films.
