To be honest when the Runaways hit it big I was only five years old so I was a little to yound, but I was kind of familiar with Joan Jett with her anthem "I love Rock 'N' Roll" before Brittney Spears decided to butcher it, and a track she did on The Days of Thunder soundtrack, but apart from that it's a bit of a blur!Stewart and Fanning are a reverlation in there rolls and perfectly capture the swagger and red hot jail bait of the leaders of the band. The film opens with a O.M.G moment and then from on is a dizzy mix of great music and drug fuelled exploits that leads to the self destuction of the group. To be honest it may breeze over the facts but never the less is a very enjoyable movie and at times very funny.Credit to Fanning as she belts out the signature tune "Cherry Bomb" that only goes to prove she has grown up allot since her show stealing turn in Man on Fire and is a exceptional actress aswell as a good singer. Stewart also proves she can do allot more than sulk in Teen friendly Vampire romances as ahe perfectly captures the character of Joan Jett. The is a Rock 'N' Roll movie fans of every gender and generations should identify with.See if you like.....Walk The Line. The Doors.Spinal Tap.Sex and drugs and Rock 'N'Roll.Boogie Nights.
