This is, without a shadow of a doubt, the best thing that I have ever seen on television. Every aspect of it is perfect, the acting, the direction, the cinematography, the effects, the score, the sets... Words cannot fully describe how good this is.
I can also highly recommend the documentary that accompanies this edition. In itself very well made and highly moving, it also does much to heighten the emotion of the series itself through in-depth interviews with the men of Easy Company.
TV at it's best, war drama at it's greatest.

Words cannot describe band of brothers. But at a push, i'd say it's beautiful. The cinematography is wonderfull, and the storyline is touching, shocking and emotional(what makes it ten times better is the fact that it's true). This completely goes against the blood and guts war drama you usually see - my mother, grandmother and several of my girl friends love this so much. The acting(most are actually english, like damien lewis, and are just really good at accents) is fantastic (look out for appearances from simon pegg and tom hanks) and each story is told with depth, beauty and the ability to make you go 'oh, wow...'

I can't recommend this enough. Its probably the best tv series ever made.
We follow Easy company through tough training, to the drop into Normandy and all way through to capturing the eagles nest. You feel as though you are part of them, you suffer with them and see what hell they went through and what heroes they became.
If you are unsure weather you like it, get it anyway, you will.
