Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight ) directs a fantasy thriller that puts a haunting twist on the classic fairy tale.

For years the villagers of Daggerhorn have maintained an uneasy truce with a werewolf - but the beast changes the stakes by killing the older sister of brave young Valerie (Amanda Seyfried). Promised in marriage to one man but in love with another, Valerie is affected yet again by the creature's bloody actions. When a werewolf hunter warns that the beast takes human form by day and walks among them, panic sets in as the death toll rises. And Valerie learns she has a unique connection to the wolf that inexorably draws them together, making her both suspect...and bait.

 Keeps you gripped and guessing

Just saw this at the movies and really enjoyed it. Directed by Catherine Hardwicke of Twilight, it tells the story of a medieval village that is being attacked by a werewolf at full moon, yet what the villagers don't know is that the werewolf is one of them - but which? With a great cast and beautiful cinematography, it keeps you gripped and guessing and is a great take on the favourite childrens story with Red Riding Hood, Grandma and of course the big bad wolf. If you like Twilight/wolves/ the original story or just looking for an entertaining movie you'll like this. Definitely worth a watch.

 So-so

A decent enough film and I don't regret forking out the money to watch this in the cinema, but this film screams 'Twilight' (owing to the same director). Let me just warn you if you don't like' Twilight', don't bother watching this. Seyfried's performance was commendable, but the two hunks vying for her attention is too reminiscent of 'Eclipse'. At times, there seems to be confusion between time/periods but the setting made this film worth watching.

 BRILLANT!!

I loved this movie one of the best ive ever seen. I see why people compare it to twilight with the wolf thing and the two boys fighting over her but i do not think its anything like twilight i mean theres no vampires and just cause its directed by the same director of twilight doesnt mean it has to be compared catherine hardwicke is capable of directing other movies too anyway i loved it and i see why you compare it but i dont think you should!!!!

 fantastic film
