What a funny film. Didn't think it would be as funny as the first, but it really is. Loved every bit, and the characters are so good in this. Would recommend :-)

unfunny remake of the first movie

The purpose of a sequel other than to make more money is to enhance the story arc and maybe go in a different direction. Hangover succeeds in only addressing the first of those three things.

It is an unfunny remake of the first movie that I found myself clock watching rather than enjoying. Crowbarring of characters from the first movie just came across as desperate.

Key differences
Instead of a baby and tiger you have a monk and a monkey
It's in Bangkok
It's not funny

that's about it.

  A decent watch

Not quite as funny for me as the first one, but still got some laughs in there, the first film was a tough act to follow so I think its still worth a watch if you want a half decent comedy.

Quite funny, if you can look over some things.

In my opinion, when this films plot was made, the creator look at No.1 and went CTR C. It is funny but inevitably you know what is going to happen. But a good watch.

Have you ever had that experience of going on a relatively spontaneous night out with friends and having an absolutely cracking night out that is memorable? And then the following week you actually plan a night out that's meant to be as good and yet it ends up turning out flatter? Because it wasn't as fresh?

That's how I felt after The Hangover, Part 2. I really enjoyed the first one because it felt like a blast of something new and funny and engaging thanks to all involved. But here this film is essentially the very same film as the first. But just not as good.

Substitute Thailand for Vegas, make it Stu's wedding instead and everything else works out pretty similarly. Robbing the film of much of the charm of the first one and leaving me with the feeling that I might have been better off just watching The Hangover again instead. It has it's moments and it does have some laughs but overall it's just a rerun of the first.

I have to say that i couldnt wait to see this movie as i thought the first one was hilarious, sadly though, it just wasnt that good. I felt as though it was almost identical to the first only with a different setting and far less humour, very predictable and i was actually quite bored by the end. Hugely disappointing.

The writers should be hung twice,

I am amazed at how many people found this drivel funny. Why? Its an inept piece of cinema, there are no funny moments and the best actor is the monkey. I watched the first one because it was rated by friends as funny and yes after a few beers some bits were amusing, but this! I borrowed it from a false friend, funny my .... This is one for the pirates to down load, and save money. PIRATING IS A CRIME, AND RUINS THE CINEMA BUSINESS, so down load this rubbish and save money and the world from rubbish

  More of the same please!

Don't expect anything new from this film - it is The Hangover over again in Bangkok - however you will laugh about as often this time round as well, go in knowing it's the storyline that worked well the first time and you'll get a lot of enjoyment out of it!

  great sequel

  Worth A Watch

The film was a laugh at certain parts. It's nice to see that its a proper adult comedy and has everything that goes along with it, drinking, swearing and full nudity. But the plot was thin and was lacking. It was almost exactly the same as the first one, only set in a different place with a few extra, minor characters thrown in. Same thing, different country. I suppose going by the first film, you should know where the film is planning on going, but it was a bit of a let down. The first is by far, much funnier and original. Stand up performance for me was Ken's character - Mr Chow. With a larger role, he really managed to steal the show for me. Definitely watch if you have seen the first!
