This is my all time favourite film and I would recommend that everyone watch it even if you don't buy it.
Although this film is not 100% historically acurate it is based on the life of the real William Wallace, its very difficult to balance historic fact and entertainment but I think they have done a brilliant job.

This film is a must watch.

any true historian will be able to pull this movie to bits, but for raw entertainment i think this is very good.

Braveheart is simply a fantastic film. There is not a second in the film where you wish you werent Scottish. Being an Englishman myself, after watching it i feel like hiding my passport and talking with a Scottish accent to people i dont know, just so i can have the satisfaction of pretending to part of William Wallace.
If you havnt seen it, believe me buy it. It's a fiver so you know you cant go wrong. The final 10 minutes alone will have you standing in front of the telly screaming freedom, and if a film can make you do that, then good lord it has to be good.
Thank me later.

I have to agree this is a magnificent film, but being from scotland myself i was a bit dissapointed that William Wallace was played by an Australian. Although saying that he had the accent down to a key and did a brilliant performance.

I am a huge history fan and must say that this film is so historically incorrect. However that aside it is still a remarkable film and great to watch. The battle scenes are great and the music makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.So if you can turn off to the historical innacuracies just sit back and savour a brill film.Long yet never feels like it.Mel Gibson is fab.A movie well made but not to be taken to seriously.I give it five stars.
