Henry Roth (Sandler), the local marina veterinarian, only dates tourists because he's afraid of commitment - that is, until he meets Lucy (Barrymore). Unfortunately, Lucy lost her short-term memory months ago in a car accident, and for her, each day is October the 13th. She follows the same routine every day - breakfast at the same restaurant, pineapple-picking with her dad, and eventually bed time, where sleep wipes away her short-term memory. Henry, however, refuses to be forgotten, and as his puppy love matures, he embarks on a quest to restore her memory, or at least be a part of her everyday routine. But vying for Lucy's attention isn't always easy. Henry explores various approaches before making a video for Lucy to watch every morning, reminding her of who she is and what she's doing...

 A meaningful comedy

Adam Sandler doing what he does best here as always- comedy. Yet this story has more layers to purely laughs, it contains a real psychological condition (which Drew Barrymore has in the film) that's explored, told beautifully and presents so many dilemmas. This allows this film to act as a drama at the same time, and it is this that touches the viewer as well as entertains, and is for this reason why I enjoyed this romance-comedy-drama so much. Give it a try!

No 'Happy Gilmore' but much better than 'You Don't Mess With The Zohan'. I like the bit when the walrus is sick all over him. That makes me laugh every single time!

I couldnt even watch this film all the way through! the story is just riddiculous - a girl who can't remember the guy shes dating each day so he has to make her fall for him over and over, its just not getting anywhere, the story line just isnt strong enough. watch if you have nothing better to do

a film you wont want to end...

I was expecting a disappointing follow up movie since Adam Sandler & Drew Barrymore made the smash hit Wedding Singer film together. But, I was wrong. This movie is absolutely superb. The plot and the cast were perfect and the comedy was just spot on. Can't fault this film at all. Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler have done it AGAIN. Made yet another superb film. Well Done!
