This film is plain weird and boring, not much action happens. Theres just long shots of scenery in it. Watched with a few mates (I heard it was good) and I got the blame for the poor quality choice, Die Elephant Die!!

I think it's the directing and perfection of each shot that does it for me
Van Sant has managed to refrain from being judgemental which i imagine was difficult
the idea that all these kids improvise and had never acted before is shocking because it feels natural, like we are watching it unravel
a joy to watch (even though it shouldn't be?)

Elephant is a good film. But it can get a bit boring in places. The film tells the story of how 2 isolated high school kids obtain guns and plan to shoot students at their school. Its preety well made, its defiently one of Gus Van Sants best films. The film follows certain charecters and it shows how they were each affected by the massacre, whether they survived or died. The film is rather short at 79 mins but i gues it would be hard to long it out with the style that Gus has opted for. I would give this film 7/10. For anyone that is remotly interested in columbine or other school shootings then they should defiently see this. Another film like this is "Zero Day" check that out as well!
