  Simply hillarious

Pegg and Frost are back on top form in this brilliant comedy,They play two sci- fi nerds who go on a road trip across America touring all the alien sites, during their trip they come across Paul,an alien who has escaped from a research centre,he joins them and they help him try and get home, with his captors in pursuit . This film is littered with cliches and refrences to other films ,I just can't belive that there are some negative comments about it

Yet another brilliant film starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, it is really funny and also has quite a good twist. Using Seth Rogens voice for Pauls voice was the best choice ever he just sounds so funny, would recommend as you will not be let down.

As most of these reviews suggest, this is either a love or hate movie. I gave this a 3/5 because I felt it had a lot more comedy moments to give. The acting and the actors were perfect. Frost and Peggy are the perfect duo for a film like this. But if your expecting to laugh so hard, prepare to be dissappointed, but there are a few laughing moments. Average film at the best.

I really enjoyed this film and i dont usually like Simon Pegg. The 2 guys along with alien create a strange group of friends that you really start to like. Seth Rogen is his usual lazy bum self and he suits the role of Paul perfectly. There are lots of funny moments and the story keeps you intersted until the end.

  Could have been better.

This film to me wasn't anywhere near as funny as i was expecting and there seemed to be alot of American humour which i don't find funny in the slightest. And apart from Pegg and Frost all the other actors are rubbish. The alien was funny at parts but not funny enough in all and average type of film with some ok moments but all in all nothing that's gonna have you laughing you head off. Pegg and Frost saved it from 3 stars. Oh and the director was complete and utter garbage let them have some creative freedom.

utterly brilliant, pegg & frost at their best!

Absolutely hilarious, really, side splitting!. I laughed so hard, it hurt!. This is up there with hot fuzz, and i truly believe anybody that doesnt like this must be dead!. Ok, that may be an exaggeration, if you are religious, you may be offended, and there is quite a lot of swearing, but it is done in an amusing way!. Keep an eye out for the scene where they hit a bird with the RV (i nearly wet myself!).

  Excellent

This is the best movie that Pegg and Frost have done since Shaun of the Dead, personally I was not a fan of Hot Fuzz. The comedy was belly laughing comedy, rather than a dry chuckle. If you do have a blu ray player, the blu ray version is only 50p more expensive than the DVD version, so I would seriously suggest looking at that instead. I would have probably given this a 4.5 star rating, rather than a 5. It would be good if one day there was a Paul 2, but this would be a hard film to follow up. A must watch though.

  Good. Not Amazing

The pairing of Nick Frost and Simon Pegg has delivered quality already so you expect the same with Paul. It isn't the same.

Perhaps it's that Edgar Wright isn't directing, although I suspect as previous reviewers have hinted, that it's because the script is tailored to an American audience. Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz stand apart from this in their repertoire, but the references found in those films aren't nearly as abundant in this film. There are lots of subtle visual jokes and self-references in Wright's films starring Pegg and Frost but Paul has none of those.

If Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz were Pegg & Frost making the movies they always wanted to make, then Paul is taking self indulgence that one step too far.
