When Ted Childs took over production of this final series of "Special Branch", there came with him a greater sense of purpose and confidence. The stories are tighter, move faster and contain more action sequences. Paul Eddington as the shifty Whitehall warrior, Strand. is a welcome addition to the cast.
Overall, an improvement on the 1973 series.
