The Walking Dead: Season 1 (2 Discs)

This truly is one of the greatest TV shows ever made, especially if your a big horror fan, we have longed for a TV show like this, great season 1 with 6 brilliant episodes, good story that uses a lot of brains as well as eats them!! The cast is perfect and very easy to get to like, the season is paced very well and adds some interesting cool new stuff and ideas to the zombie genre!! If you big into horror and zombie movies especially then this is right up your street with some of the most amazing gore effects and horrid looking zombie make-up designs ever!! Must own at any cost for horror fans! If the U.K version is the same as the U.S version then there is some amazing special features too for the money.

the quality of the scting in just the first episode is just fantastic, I'm NOT a zombie fan but I was just held on the edge of my seat the whole way through.
There is so much going on with the stories as well, it's not just see zombies and run.
I don't want to give anything away but this is one of the best US shows in a very long time

i saw the pilot and wow! this is zombie fab hordes of zombies cant wait for it to come out on dvd it puts most zombie flicks to shame plenty of gore and good story line so far roll on to next episode.

A great zombie series that has left me wanting more.
A story about a man who awakes from a coma to find he is among the walking dead.
For a TV series this is a nitty gritty and violent show with some quite graphic scenes.
You come to see the effect the apocolypse has on those involved and the stresses it brings within the group.
Decisions cost lives.
An excellent high budget series that all will enjoy.
Can not wait for the second season.

Based on a series of graphic novels from Robert Kirkman The Walking Dead is certainly one of the most original (I know there have been lots of zombie movies but no TV show I can remember) and entertaining shows to debut in the last few years.

This first season may only be six episodes long, due to the expensive nature of the show, but it fits more action and drama into those six episodes than most shows fit into twenty. There is certainly enough blood and gore to satisfy fans of horror movies but sensibly showrunner Frank Darabont has taken the decision to only follow the graphic novel storylines loosely, slowing down proceedings on occasions and allowing the characters a chance to develop themselves.

A very promising start to what could become a cult classic.
