To have a second series so soon after the first. Though to have a second series that has bettered the first series is one thing but to have a connecting story line with the same suoerb actors is not only superb but pure brilliance. This series shows the the turmoil and expectance of the developing First World War and the trenches. Based on fact brings the best series that I have ever seen yet. This for me was so entertaining. Pity it had to end!!!!
A wonderful series one and I'm watching series two at the moment. Its really fantastic and gripping - I love it and cannot wait to purchase series two. I love all the people taking part, but I do like Mary. Get the DVD and sit down in utter bliss and take it all in, its great!!!!!

One mistake the dog Isis is a male in the first series and a female in the second .
