Robert Rath is the best hitman around, but the code and sense of duty that once were part of his deadly career are lost in a post Cold-War world of freelance guns. He wants out. Not so Miguel Bain, a driven killer who knows how to claim the top spot of his shadowy profession: eliminate Rath. Director Richard Donner infuses this tale with exciting action rifts plunging you into a world where what counts is not making the first move, but surviving the last.

Top 10 DVD Reviewer
Richard (Lethal Weapon) Donner directs this very slick action film, where stallone and Banderas play rival Assassins. The film has a good script, but at times does suffer from major gaps in logic, a perfect example is how in hell did Stallone disguised as a cabbie know it was Banderas who needed the cab?
But apart from these gaps in logic, the two leads try and out smart each other in there very entertaining little game of death.
Also noting that Julianne Moore turns in another good early performance as the computer geek in distress, as Banderas as marked her as a hit.
This is an underated film, that the critics slaughtered at the time, but watching this film again over a decade later, it is still an entertaining thriller.
This film is well worth re-watching and is one of Stallone's better films of that decade.
