An Entertaining and Darkly Humourous Drama

This original Sky One drama sees four friends arrive in Majorca having been invited by a mutual friend, a wealthy businessman seemingly living a life of luxury. Unfortunately for them they all get more than they bargained for.

With a cast featuring the likes of John Simm and Philip Glenister 'Mad Dogs' certainly had enough recognisable names to draw in audiences and most will likely have enjoyed what they saw. The opening episode does a very good job of establishing the characters allowing for close to all out farce (in a good way) for the remainder of the series. The writers do a terrific job of ramping up the pace and tension as the plot progresses whilst maintaining a darkly comic premise to proceedings even allowing for the odd laugh out loud moment.

Some may say it is a shame that there are not more than four forty-five minute episodes but, while that may limit Mad Dogs from reaching the highs of TVs greatest dramas, it helped to ensure the series wasn't bogged down in unnecessary sub-plots making for a highly entertaining drama.

 Great Cast terrible script!

I thought this was going to be excellent with the cast it has, if it hadn't been only four episodes I'd had turned off and I wish I had to be honest!

The characters are all annoying and for a group of 'friends' going on a holiday together they can't stand each other? The way the characters react to events unfolding seemed very far fetched to me.

The end of the first episode should leave you wanting to watch more, but unfortunately the remaining episodes just don't deliver!

Im going to get this DVD when it comes out. The series has great Actors and it just a shame it's only on Sky. Still it coming to DVD and that makes up for that.

This is a fantastic series, 1 more to go until it comes to a conclusion, the dark humour is fantastic, i think they thought they were in for a great hol away from the wifes/kids and all they seem to be doing is digging their own grave, the fight with the midget was just hilarious, a def buy when out for me
