  Two words... Hugh Laurie

what more can i say bar the fact that this is an AMAZING tv series, Hugh Laurie has really made this show (of course Omar Epps and Jesse Spence play a great role). Hugh has made House who he is and and i couldn't think of anyone else playing this character.

Sure, this season maybe hasn't been the best season out of them all, but that doesn't mean it isn't good. There are some FANTASTIC episodes in this season - Now what?, Bombshells and Unplanned parenthood are some of my favourites. Even if these weren't there, Hugh Laurie's perfomance alone in After hours was amazing.

In other words, BUY AND WATCH SEASON 7. It should be interesting to see what direction they turn to after the loss of Lisa Edelstein and the fact that season 8 may well be the last - so tune in and catch this wonderful series that has redefined US tv drama.

Oh and Hugh Laurie really should have won an emmy by now, 6 nominations and no win?!?!?

  A splendid TV Drama

I also want to protest against the first review here. Hugh Laurie is marvelous in his character. Swift, shameless, intelligent and Laurie have a priceless timing in delivering his lines. Sure, season 7 isnt the best, but the level of quality in this drama is way higher than other running series.

  Disappointing season

I would agree with the first review this season was very poor indeed. It seemed as if the writers ran out of ideas and just threw out any mad idea they had left or any rehashed idea from a previous season. The episode in which house does a musical was a particular low point I think and the season finale was an even bigger joke. It kind of reminded me of scrubs when it went downhill. Every show hits a point when you have seen it all before, better to end in a high note than dragging it out and ruining the shows well-earned serious reputation in the process. House was created as a serious medical mystery show with some light humour (mostly sarcasm) which was great but it seems like it has become more of a generic and overly dramatic hospital show this season, particularly when it comes to the house cuddy relationship.
House season 1 to 5 (Five Stars)
House season 6 (Four Stars)
House season 7 (Two Stars)

  Another brilliant season

I'm writing this review as a response to the poor one which was here already, which does not truly reflect this season of House.

This season's House was superb, following brilliantly on from the tantalising ending of season 6, beginning with an exploration into the more personal side of House. Instead of this season focussing primarily on the patients, it is majorly House-centric, especially in the opening few episodes.

New characters, throughout the season, are introduced and developed and feel as though they could have been in the show for the entirity.

And, though I wont spoil it, I will say that the closing episodes of the season are stunning and will definitely draw you back in to season 8.

Lisa Edelstein (Cuddy) has already announced that she will not be returning to the cast of House in season 8, and Hugh Laurie himself will be bowing out of the show in the next season, which will probably/definitely mark it's closure.

So, for this reason, I think you should pick up House season 7. Not only will you see Lisa Edelstein's final season of House, but you'll witness one of the closing chapters of House both as a show, and an experience.

I would thoroughly recommend this show to anybody who appreciates good television.

  Same old thing!

I used to love House but season 7 will be the last season i watch because it has just become the same old thing in every episode! Its just got boring and silly. I think its time to hang up your cane Hugh!
