Award-winning director Joe Wright creates a boldly original suspense thriller with Hanna, starring Academy Award-nominee Saoirse Ronan (The Lovely Bones, Atonement) in the title role.

Raised by her father (Eric Bana of Star Trek), an ex-CIA man, in the wilds of Finland, Hanna's upbringing and training have been one and the same, all geared to making her the perfect assassin. The turning point in her adolescence is a sharp one; sent into the world by her father on a mission, Hanna journeys stealthily across Europe while eluding agents dispatched after her by a ruthless intelligence operative with secrets of her own (Academy Award-winner Cate Blanchett). As she nears her ultimate target, Hanna faces startling revelations about her existence and unexpected questions about her humanity.

This is a remarkable movie with a fantastic story and a great cast, Saoirse Ronan who plays Hanna is a fantastic actress and really steals the show, the music for the movie was scored by the chemical brothers and is very unique and plays a major role in making the movie extra cool, a fast paced action packed film, original and brilliant a must see.

Went to see this film yesterday and ive gotta say its been a while since i have seen a thriller of this depth so good. Saorise Ronan is turning into one of the best young actresses around after he brilliant performance in "The Lovely Bones" she delivers again as a child assassin on the run from the authorities who made her. Eric Bana was really good as the man who raised Hanna until she was ready to leave home and Cate Blanchett likewise as the government official who wants Hanna terminated. There is good action scenes mixed with slower scenes which helped blend the whole project together....brilliant. Enjoy

A Thoroughly Stylish And Incredible Movie

Not many films leave me speechless but this one did. Set against a beautiful scandanavian back-drop, this film follows a highly trained young assassin out for justice against the woman who killed her mother.

Trained by her ex-CIA father, she sets out across Europe to track down and kill her prey. The music score in this film takes it to another level and it never stops accelerating at you. There are some mind-blowing scenes including Hanna escaping the clutches of the CIA and setting herself free.

Saoirse Ronan plays the title character superbly well and makes sure the film is about her. The plot is unbelievably believable and will keep you guessing, even after the twist towards the end.

Please don't listen to the bad reviews!!!

This film really surprised me. If you're looking for all out action - look elsewhere. If you're looking for a more cerebral thriller from a young girl's perspective, please try this film. A reviewer below said that Salt is much better.....I really don't know where to start on that one. This is a really high quality movie. I'm no fan of Eric Bana and even he is good in this. I truly think that this is one of those unexpected films you'll remember for a long time - if simply for Miss Ronan's turn here which is spellbinding.

There is a lull in proceedings mid film as Hanna has her experience with teenage normality, but it is really crucial to the film in trying to understand the confusion and sheltered existance that she's had.

I loved the film and I do doubt there'll be a sequel so you'd better watch this one!

 Euro Thriller !!!

Excellent thriller with good performances from all the established stars, girl playing Hanna needs special mention as she was great and really nailed the part. Film has a real contemporary european feel to it which sets it apart from the normal Hollywood offerings, can envisage a sequel appearing !!!!!
