After a young boy witnesses his parents' murder on the streets of Gotham City, he grows up to become Batman, a mysterious figure in the eyes of Gotham's citizens, who takes crime-fighting into his own hands. He first emerges out of the shadows when the Joker appears - a horribly disfigured individual who is out for revenge on his former employer and generally likes to have a good time, but the identity of the "bat" is unknown. Perhaps millionaire Bruce Wayne and photographer Vicki Vale have a good chance of finding out?

Still the best Batman IMHO

In my eyes, no other actor could portray Batman or Joker better than Keaton and Nicholson did in the 1989 Batman. The musics are fantastic (hey what else could you expect from Mr. Elfman?), the sets are spectacularly dark and the overall mood is just too perfect. Such a shame I never got to see this one in the movie theaters.
Best batman

With Dark Knight coming out i thought i would watch the other batman films and i was stunned by Tim Burtons dark film. I loved Micheal keaton playing batman and of course Jack Nicholson as the joker he is amzaing in batman. A must buy for any movie fan.
