so we come to the fifth entry in the seemingly endless Hellraiser saga. After the comical farce that was Hellraiser Bloodline the series has just become a joke, Hellraiser Inferno isn't quite as bad as Bloodline, but it comes close.

Firstly, this is NOT a Hellraiser film. It's the story of some corrupt cop trying to find a missing kid, then decending into his own personal hell. Pinhead hardly has any time on screen in this film at all, so it just seems like the maker turned this into a Hellraiser film and slapped Pinhead's face on the cover of the box to get the film attention it would otherwise not have got. Yes, I'm all for the series developing and having new storylines, but when they twist and mangle the storyline so much that it really isn't a Hellraiser film, then it just seems wrong to market it as one.

Hellraiser Inferno blatantly steals most of it's plot from Jacob's Ladder - the main character's decent into mental torment, the main character seeing imaginary figures and faces, etc...in fact there's hardly anything original about this film and you'll constantly be spotting scenes you've seen done in other films and done better.

A very poor film, this is too clichéd and dull to appeal to fans of cheap horror movies, and the fact it hardly has any relevance to the Hellraiser series, means it's unlikely to even appeal to die hard Hellraiser fans either. And there's a 6th, 7th and an 8th film? Stop making them, PLEASE!
