Bonnie and Clyde balances itself on a knife-edge of laughter and terror, thanks to vivid title role performances by Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway and superb support from Michael J. Pollard, Gene Hackman and Estelle Parsons. Director Arthur Penn keeps the film's sensibilities tough but never cruel. It continually dazzles, especially in the work of cinematographer Burnett Guffey and editor Dede Allen. And as film lovers since have discovered, it's no ordinary gangster movie.

This movie is now over forty years old, but it stands the test of time for the simple fact that it is brilliant!
Warren Beatty is outstanding as Clyde Barrow, and the beautiful Faye Dunwaway lights up the screen as his girlfriend Bonnie Parker, as the two become Americas most wanted in the depression-era Southwest.
The film perfectly balances itself on a knife-edge of laughter and bloodshed, then terror as the two learn the hard way that they can get hurt or even end up dead, as every day bodies start to pile up, and the feeling of dread becomes more apparant.
The film has a great support cast with the likes of the great Gene Hackman and Gene Wilder. Brilliantly directed by Arther Penn, he keeps the film ballanced perfect with the movies sensibilities tough but never cruel. The film still dazzles today. But the given 18 certificate is far too strong, even the iconic ending seems tame when compared to todays standards.
If you have never seen this film, you don't know what your missing. The is no ordinary gangster film.
A legend of a movie!

A Classic, Pioneering & Iconic Film.

*Set in the 1930s Depression era of America, B&C (Bonny and Clyde) meet, a few minutes later they have robbed a small store and are on the run. B&C then embark on a crime spree with their gang, resulting in a series of robberies. Their antics mean that they are heavily hunted by the Law. This results in a number of shootouts with the Police.
*B&C has aged well considering it is 45 years old. B&C may look tame now but we should also bear in mind that B&C was ground breaking at the time as it broke many Hollywood taboos. B&C was one of the first films that somewhat sympathized with the criminals. B&C Has influenced many crime films since. A classic, pioneering and iconic film.
