the story for the first was WAAAY better but the martial arts in the 2nd film beats the first just by an inch. this film promotes ip mans teaching soo much it always makes you feel like you want to learn wing chun whether or not its a female martial arts.

A great sequel for the Ip Man film. Everything is great in this movie. The british actors are not too great tho. But never the less this movie is still brilliant. I prefer the first one on the lines of it has a stronger story (just my opinion) but still a fantastic sequel.

Donnie is just bloody brilliant. Great film good story and top class fighting. The first is still my favourite but this one is freaking amazing too!

Having previously seen the first Ip Man, i was expecting a lot from this movie, but it went above and beyond my expectations. Donnie Yen is amazing, again. The fights are more frequent and brilliantly choreographed, especially the arena fights. The thing i think that stood out most to me was the music, which was fantastically done. The story is very good and the movie is overall amazing, i highly recommend this to anyone who likes martial art movies.

Donnie Yen is truely amazing in this film, which was to be expected anyway, I personally think Wing Chun is the neatest, most skillful martial arts going, and i wolud love to learn it! I truely rate this film 5 stars because its simply brilliant!!!!!!!!

great stuff from donnie yen as ip man, not quite as good as first film but still brill,it looks like its set up nicely for another installment that will concentrate on ip man mentoring bruce lee, was also good to see many martial art regulars including the old warhorse himself sammo hung, sammo is well renowned for his skill at choreographing fight scenes in martial arts films, a must see film for martial arts fans.

Although this is a great film and i have rated it with 5 stars.. I still dont think it is as good as the first film. the first film had one of the best story lines ive ever seen within a martial art film.. the fight scenes in this film are un missable, donnie yen shows what hes made of.

Where did they get those British actors from!!?

In short the action is good in this film, that's pretty much all you need to know, the performance's from Donnie Yen and Sammo Hung are strong, with excellent choreography from the latter... but this film is kinda ruined by it's awful British actors, yes they really are that bad!! and a weak ending plot. It could have been alot better, I don't really see a need for a third installment. - I think they would really have to concentrate on Yip Man's relationship with Bruce Lee to reignite the series.
