5 Nothing short of genius, by far one of the best films made!Ferretus | 05/05/2007 | See all Ferretus's reviews (49)Firstly if you only buy films if they got the latest top celeb in, don't be put off by this. This is a fantastic film concept that raises the issue of if you could change a part of your life would you? The answer for many of us is of course yes, and this illustrates the cause and effect of those decisions showing that no matter how hard you try you could only make things worse (Chaos theory).Amy Smart is the true star of this film playing multiple versions of the same character as Ashtons character actions effect the world around him. Words cannot describe how impressed I was with her performance, switching between so many characterisations you cannot help but be drawn into the film truly feeling for her character. The film is amazing and a true must have, you find yourself screaming at the TV hoping that the next change will actually improve things but knowing full well its all going to go wrong. The directors cut has both versions of the film including the alternative ending which puts a whole new slant on the film. Personally after watching this for the first time I wanted to put it straight on again, I managed to last a whole day before giving it a second go and even then I couldn't help but be moved by the film.Unbelievably outstanding a must have for any DVD collection (this is coming from someone with several hundred DVDs!).
