this is without a doubt the worst piece of rubbish ever to be put on tv. if this passes off as comedy then we are deep trouble avoid at all costs.

  Awful

Really shocked by the positive response to this series. It is badly acted, very out-dated, lazily written and shockingly obvious; every joke is telegraphed well in advance. If this is what equates for modern British comedy then we are in a very bad way.

  NO SUBTITLES

This is without a doubt, the funniest TV show that has been on for a very long time. It's just a shame that the company that made it couldn't be bothered to give it the option of viewing with subtitles for the deaf like myself. If it had them, I would've given it five stars.

All right if you like laughing

I had never previously heard of Brendan O'Carrol, but I leapt from ignorance to being a fan in about a minute.

Although very different from Father Ted, Mrs Brown has the same maverick, off-the -wall humour which catches you off guard.

The fact that Mrs Brown is acted by a bloke is never milked for laughs. There is absolutely no echo of the pantomime dame or even Mrs Doubtfire.

I can sum up MRS BROWN'S BOYS by using the old Irish phrase "It is all right, if you like laughing."

  Faultless

My Nana introduced me to this and I hate this sort of thing but when I first watched it I had to watch it again because I'd missed half of it through laughing. You can tell that Brendan just makes it up sometimes which makes it so much funnier because even the actors are laughing as they don't know what he's going to say next. He also makes a very good woman I didn't even know it was a man at first. One of the best buys EVER and I hope there's more to come!

  Funniest thing ever

My husband & I nearly fell off the couch laughing - tears were literally rolling down my cheeks. This is the funniest thing I have watched for years, although the language and topics are quite choice at times. Just brilliant!
