Jonathan Creek is the best example of old time TV. At first look you might think that the series' are short but once you've seen them you'll understand just why. Each of the episodes are magnificently written, with great a great mysteries to be solved.
I love Jonathan Creek and bought it as soon as I saw it on play. Alan Davies is Jonathan Creek and definitely makes the character his own. Caroline Quentin is great too, and makes the perfect assistant to Jonathan Creek. Julia Sawalha is okay, but will never be able to replace Caroline Quentin.
The boxset is well worth the money for all 4 series'. If you like mysteries and smart plots you will love this. A better version of Midsummer Murders and Jack Frost without the terrible acting.
5 stars for the writers who make Jonathan Creek what it is!
But i didn't like the Boxset and thought it looked cheap to be honest so......
4.5 stars overall.

Jonathan works as an inventor of magical tricks. His employer Adam Klaus is a womanizing, good for nothing, cheating swine.
His good but strange relationship with Maddy (an investigative journalist) turns to solving some of the most exciting and complicated mysteries to date.
I hugely recommend this box set to anyone who enjoys a good mystery. Although not all the mysteries are murder related, they are still vastly intriguing and extremely fascinating.
