Torrential rains and floods force local sheriff (Randy Quaid) and town residents of Huntingburg to evacuate and abandon the town. Tension mounts when an armoured car, sent to transport $3 million from local banks, breaks down and drivers, Tom (Christian Slater) and his Uncle Charlie (Ed Asner), find themselves stranded. Before they know it they are surrounded by a suspicious crew led by Jim (Morgan Freeman). Without warning the crew opens fire and the chase is on. Tom wades his way through thigh-deep waters with the $3 million in tow, Jim is determined to find Tom and the money. The action is non-stop and so is the rain...

As fas as natural disaster movies go, this is not that bad! Good cast, action sequences and driving plot. There is only one real twist to the film that some viewers may spot before the end but the film as a whole is just average. There is nothing special from Freeman who appears slightly miss cast and Slater is just Slater!
I liked the claustrophobic sensation to the film as the entire movie is based in one small town completely cut off to the outside world. The film begins well and is fairly fast paced but the ending is weak which spoils the tension and build up. Good film in general and worthy of a Sat night slot if you've nothig better to do!
It was okay!!!!!
