Based on the chilling events surrounding the disappearance of a government forester in 1975, Fire In The Sky is a gripping tale of alien abduction and the fight to uncover the truth about an incident no-one could explain.
Starring Henry Thomas and Robert Patrick as members of a gang of loggers working in the woodlands of North East Arizona, the story focuses on the disappearance of one of the group and the claims by his friends that he was abducted by a UFO. When the friends are accused of murdering their colleague, owing to lack of evidence and the incredulity of their story, tensions build and it threatens to tear apart the fabric of their lives. However, when the missing man re-appears after five days, the story of his whereabouts sends the small, rural community into confusion and creates an atmosphere of paranoia and fear...
Fire In The Sky concentrates on depicting the human affects of such a fantastical genre and contains one of the most authentic and intensive alien-abduction scenes. Avoiding the pitfalls of cliché and the often formulaic nature of science-fiction, the film is a sustained and dramatic portrayal of the unknown and brings to the fore, the fears that underpin modern society. An engaging drama that plays down the special effects in favour of allowing the acting to develop the subject-matter, the film will enthral audiences with its simple and straightforward, yet highly touching narrative.

I love this amazing UFO abduction movie Travis Walton - the world's most amazing UFO abduction detailed case ever recorded in the world! experts are still baffled by this unsolved case. 6 people saw it, 1 was abducted, all 6 eventually did a lie detectors test - ALL PASSED!!!! amazing movie, just a great shame there are no extras on the dvd.

This is my favourite alien abdution movie it's the true story of what happend to Travis Walton at the white mountains north eastern of arizona. It's quite scary in places, the aliens dont look that realistic but the acting is great and the story has been portrayed very well.
