Chicago cop Nico Toscani (Steven Seagal) is on to something big. Suspects collared in a drug raid are allowed to walk and Nico himself is asked to turn in his badge. He may be off the force but he's not out of the action.

Steven Seagal makes his sensational screen debut as Nico, smashing his way into the top ranks of action stars as he tracks ex-CIA operatives trafficking drugs and plotting a political assassination.

This is the Seagal we love

This is Steven Seagal's best movie by far. He is not the potion loving, over weight, whispering ''sissy bead wearing guy in this film. If you weatch this then watch one of his later films you would not think it is the same person. This film is a simple cop film about him and his family. There are awesome fight scene's in it and some great acting from Seagal. For the price this is a must.

Actors usually get better as their careers progress. Seagal has only gotten worse. Nico, his first film, is arguably his best. While it's hardly amazing by any stretch, Seagal seems to 'try' acting as opposed to just whispering his way through a movie. His fight scenes are also up to par while physically he's missing his trademark gut and ponytail. (Good times!)

 great martial arts

One of steven seagals best films where it was all about his martial arts,as opposed to the tedious explosions in the films hes churning out nowadays.
