It's a thin line between love and friendship... Must-see romantic comedy, Something Borrowed, stars Ginnifer Goodwin as the terminally single Rachel, a talented attorney at a top New York law firm and generous, loyal friend as well as diligent maid of honour to her lifelong best friend Darcy played by Kate Hudson.

Darcy is the sort of woman who breezes through life getting what she wants, when she wants it and Rachel has always played by the rules, quietly accepting the sidekick role in her lopsided friendship with the glamorous and confident Darcy. But after one drink too many at her 30th birthday party, perpetual good girl Rachel, unexpectedly ends up in bed with the guy she's had a crush on since law school, Dex (Colin Egglesfield), with the added complication that he just happens to be Darcy's fiancé!

As the wedding date draws near it's time for Rachel to make a difficult choice guided by her confidante and sometimes conscience, Ethan (John Krasinksi), who is busy evading the affection of Darcy's hopelessly love-struck friend Claire (Ashley Williams) while harbouring a secret crush of his own: and along comes Marcus (Steve Howey), an irrepressible womanizer who can't keep his mind out of the gutter and his hands off any girl within reach. Something Borrowed takes you on a journey that will make you laugh and cry as the course of true love - and friendship - never did run smooth...

I remember wanting to see this movie when it was first released at the cinema a few months ago but never got around to doing so, but now I can safely say that it was well worth every penny choosing to just buy it on DVD when it came out anyway as I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it as I do with pretty much all & every chick flick movie starring the fantastic Kate Hudsen anway...Such a great storyline throughout & makes you feel like a million dollars inside at the end, all soft & gooey, like a decent chick flick should ^^

If you love romantic comedies than this is a movie for you. The cast are amazing, portray their characters wonderfully, i loved the fact that you really didnt know how it would end. plus i thought the soundtrack was really suited to the film.

 They did her proud!

As a huuuuge fan of this book by Emily Giffin, I was both excited and worried at the prospect of this film. Happily I wasn't disappointed. Ginnifer Goodwin is a great Rachel - gorgeous, but not obviously so (only her bad wig, and the casting of Marcus stopped this from being 5*). Kate Hudson played Darcy brilliantly, and Colin Egglesfield was just like the Dex I had pictured in my head (gorgeous!). A few characters were missing, and Ethans story changed slightly, but this didn't detract from the story. I'm sure they'll do a great job when 'Something Blue' is released. I'll be front of the queue!

 a great chick flick!

this movie is great for the ladies but, i doubt it will impress the lads. i usually hate movies where there is a bit of cheating going on however, in this movie i totally understand why. anyone who loves kate hudson esp in bride wars will enjoy it or perhaps fans of ginnifer goodwin in he's just not that into you. plenty of women will be swooning over the leading man i'm sure. if he's not your type there is always john krasinski to look forward to in the supporting role as the guy BFF.
