One of my favourite films of all time. Connery and Gere are fabulous. It's a film I have watched several times, the acting is great with a fab cast of great actors. Easy story to understand. It's great to see Gere being so happy however you do feel sorry for Connery. A film not to be missed if your a Gere fan.

The stuff films are made of, good family entertainment.

This film has it all: menacing villains ( Ben Cross) dashing knights ( Richard Gere), regal kings (Sean Connery) and a lovely damsel in distress ( the little seen nowadays, Julia Ormond) plus plenty of sword play, gorgeous horses and not a bad plot line all put together in a very watchable film. As a note of interest the chap who trained Gere to fence said he was the finest, natural swordsman next to Errol Flynn whom he also trained and was acknowledged to be the best. It shows throughout the film that Gere does all his own sword play. The love story of Lancelot and Guinivere is rather poignant and Arthur, admirably played by the much older Connery , acts as a foil to them both. Ben Cross is good as the tyrant and well cast as are they all. You can watch this time and time again and never tire of it. Family entertainment at its best.

 O How FAB!

I love period movies and this one is a cracker! I adore it!
This film has action, adventure, great settings and a bit of eye candy, for me the eye candy was Liam Cunningham, even if he is a tad older than me, lol!
I was actually in Burnham Beeches in Buckinghamshire when they were filming the forest scenes of the movie. Burnham Beeches is called 'England's Ancient Forest'......well that may be true but it also houses killer ants! I remember literally bounding like a gazelle all over the forest, coz I was getting attacked by these horrible giant ants that kept crawling up my trousers and biting me, it was literally like everytime u put ur foot down more would climb up! Not that any of that was important, just a nice tale to tell!
I think Sean, Richard, Julia, Ben and of course Liam are all fab in this film! The casting was as grand as Camelot itself! All the battles were great and there is a lot of depth to the story, aswell as the legend itself!

p.s: went back to the forest few years back and killer ants still there!
