Review

Franco Nero stars as Django, the mysterious lone drifter who, dragging a coffin behind him, arrives at a bleak mud-drenched town. He saves the life of a prostitute, Maria, who is being abused by both a group of Mexican bandits and by Ku Klux Klan-like fanatics under the command of a corrupt mayor. Loyal to none, Django is caught in the middle of the violent feud between the two groups and armed with his devastating revolving machine gun, Django will endure mutilative violence as he fights for his life...

One of the greatest Spaghetti Westerns ever made, and without a doubt the most influential, Sergio Corbucci's iconic masterpiece Django is a landmark piece of cinema revered by film critics and Western genre fans alike. Originally banned in several countries (and denied a certificate by the BBFC in the UK until 1993), the film made an international star of Franco Nero and, worldwide, spawned over 50 unauthorised sequels. Fully restored and transferred from the original camera negative, this is without doubt the most complete, beautiful and definitive version of 'Django' ever seen.
